It has been on the horizon for quite a while now, and due to the temporary ban from World of Warcraft and the even earlier Early Access to Star Wars: The Old Republic, happened earlier than expected: The vast majority of the German World of Wacraft top Guild For the Horde decided to leave the World of Warcraft after seven years. We're not going to see them taking part in the delayed 4.3 progression race on the upcoming Wednesday, when their bans are going to expire right before the new Raid Lockout begins.
During the SWTOR Beta, a lot of For the Horde's players enjoyed playing the game so much that they decided to start playing it on a serious level as soon as it was released to the public. Since we're all gamers at heart and soul, we love playing games that provide us with serious fun. Fun always has to come first. If that's not the case any more for a particular game, and an alternative might have been found that is being enjoyed by a group of people that are used to share adventures within the virtual world, it's just a logical consequence that it's time to change the game and go for the game that provides more fun.
What does that mean for the Manaflask community?
Only good stuff! We established Manaflask one year ago with the idea to create a portal whose contents are driven by ambitious gamers and a cool community. This will still be our main goal and with a part of For the Horde switching to Bioware's Star Wars: The Old Republic, we can transfer the idea onto that new upcoming MMO and hope to further provide you with guides for said game by our players as we did with World of Warcraft.
Most of the changes will only be interesting for the German site, of course, since Ensidia will continue to provide English quality World of Warcraft content. A small roster of For the Horde members will still remain in World of Warcraft to participate in future progression races.

A big part of For the Horde turns away from World of Warcraft. How did it come to this? Lots of our members are demotivated to play WoW due to various reasons, I don't want to go into details why. If you want to know exactly why, you should get in touch with the players directly. The ban a few days back did result in finalizing the decision for a lot of players and with the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic, there's a very interesting alternative going to be released next week. Most of us have played the Beta already and did plan to play the game after 4.3 progress. Since the progression race is almost over for us anyway, and the next raid content in WoW quite far away, we're going to be present in Star Wars: The Old Republic with almost our complete raid roster. More information about For the Horde in SWTOR (members, recruitment, etc...) will be posted during the next days. We're not sure yet whether we're going to start progress in WoW's next expansion or not. That depends on the development of WoW and SWTOR during the next months.

I wanted to make an extra effort to congratulate FtH for making the decision to leave a good game gone bad and switch. I'm an old Death and Taxes player. I left wow a little earlier than you guys, but I also loved beta, and I can guarantee your 'taking your first step into a larger world'. On behalf of the star wars community, and as a former wow veteran myself I would like to welcome you all to The Knights of The Old Republic Online community. I hope even more guilds follow your example.
well it is kinda sad to see such a good guild quit the game. But hey, we'll see each other in a couple days in SWtoR for sure. So best of luck to all of FtH members, those who quit and those who are staying!! FtH will be remembered :)

R.I.P FOR THE HORDE
A good decision imo. it seems like a stupid idea to continue to try and be competetive in wow after this xpac. For firelands it was the encounter journal, now its banning 90% of the guilds the day progress starts. Blizz is doing evverything thay can to stop competetive raiding. Also since fth is the 1st high end guild switching to swtor you are in good shape to start getting some world 1st kills there. good luck! =)
